Boston Real Estate Prices In 2020
2020 was a challenging year on so many fronts and the pandemic certainly impacted the Greater Boston real estate market. How much so depends upon location and type of property - particularly single-family vs. condominium.
Below are a few examples of how the real estate market performed in a few of Buyer Agents of Boston key markets in 2020 and how they compare to past years from our good friends at the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS.
What's in store for the markets in 2021? My prediction is that single-family homes are going to be red-hot with lots of competition for buyers. Condos are going to still be in demand but pricing will be soft compared to 2018 and 2019 but will rebound to those levels in 2022. Sellers of both condos and single-family homes are going to need to be realistic on their pricing - especially when first listed - if they expect to sell quickly and for the best price.
